Privacy Policy

Account information. Email address, display name, account type (traveler, clinic/facility, or staffing agency), and password credentials handled by our authentication provider.

Clinician verification. If you choose to add a clinic or submit a verified review, we may collect your NPI number. Your NPI is stored privately on your profile, is never shown publicly, and is used only to confirm you are a practicing clinician.

Content you submit. Clinic submissions, structured workplace ratings, reviews, contract details you enter into scouting tools, and preferences such as specialty, pay minimums, and travel distance.

Employer information. Facility and job posting details, plus contact name, email, and phone. Contact details are stored in restricted tables visible only to the account owner and site administrators.

Technical data. Basic log and device data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and reliability.

• To operate accounts, authentication, and saved preferences.
• To publish clinic profiles, Scout Scores, and reviews.
• To verify clinician status and reduce fraudulent or spam reviews.
• To let employers manage facility listings and job postings.
• To improve scoring, search relevance, and product features.
• To send service messages about your account or submissions.

Reviews are published in aggregate and attributed by discipline and general timeframe rather than your name. Do not include patient information, colleague names, or anything covered by a confidentiality or non-disparagement agreement. We may remove content that appears to violate the law, HIPAA, or these rules.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, database, authentication, email), when required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of users. Aggregated, de-identified statistics about pay ranges and workplace ratings may be shared publicly.

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed for legal or operational purposes. Data is protected with encryption in transit, row-level access rules in our database, and restricted storage for sensitive fields such as NPI numbers and employer contact details. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

You can view and update your profile at any time, request deletion of your account and associated submissions, or ask for a copy of your data. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time frame.

Sign Scout is intended for working professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.
